moda Moda is being developed by Steven Shear, with funding being provided by Allied Irish Bank (GB).
Steven is an established Glasgow based developer with interests in office, retail and industrial property. The most significant development undertaken to date has been the Sovereign House and Elliot Street Mews complex.
Originally the Cranstonhill Iron Foundry that was built for James Aitken & Co in 1854, the Category B Listed buildings that now form Sovereign House and Elliot Street Mews were comprehensively redeveloped in 2002 to provide the current office accommodation totalling approximately 28,000 sq ft across the two buildings.
Enjoying a rather more personal and unique atmosphere than the bland offices that seem to pervade the current market, the concept of the scheme was to create a community of occupiers that focused around a shared courtyard while providing the individual tenants with, as far as possible, their own self contained accommodation.
The aim is for Moda to replicate the same ambience and atmosphere but on a larger scale.
